The Future of AI in Nepali Education

Our journey with AI in education began with a simple question: How can we bridge the digital divide in rural Nepal? Our pilot project in Gandaki Province demonstrated that local, offline LLM instances can provide significant educational support without requiring constant internet access. By leveraging small models and efficient deployment strategies, we brought advanced learning tools to students who had never interacted with AI before. The results were promising: increased engagement, improved comprehension of complex topics, and a new sense of curiosity about technology.
